Experience

I have a B.F.A. from Minnesota State University Moorhead in art with an emphasis in drawing. MSUM is firmly grounded in fundamental art instruction with a keen eye toward the future and progressive artistic thought. It is one of the finest art institution in the United States of America.

I also have a degree in broadcasting from Northland Community and Technical College in Thief River Falls, MN.

Awards

I have a few Juror’s choice awards, and a People’s choice award from student shows at M.S.U.M.

I have been awarded two grants from the Lakes Region Arts Council.

I won plenty of blue ribbons and grand champion ribbons for art while I was in 4-H as a young man.

I do enjoy the Minnesota State Fair, you know?

I was awarded a talent scholarship from MSUM as well.

Exhibitions/Performance History

I currently display my work at the Upfront Gallery in Fargo North Dakota. I have had numerous solo shows in various coffee shops as well. And of course a B.A show and B.F.A. show at MSUM, as well as three juried student shows at the University.

I’ve also shown at the Hjemkomst center in Moorhead, and at the state capitol in Bizmarck North Dakota.

Buffy Halverson proudly displays my work in her hair salon at In Bloom Studio in Fargo North Dakota.

I have work on display at the University of Minnesota Crookston.

My work has been in the High Plains Reader, a weekly newspaper in Fargo ND.

I have also had my work in the Baudette Region, another weekly newspaper.

I have started doing freelance illustration work.  Clients include the Minnesota Historical Society, the High Plains Reader, and the FM Ballet.
